I genuinely can’t understand why the fuck he put trousers/pants in the movie, like every fucking art, every renaissance picture/statue, every other modern media has the Greek using tunics and skirts, it’s not even about been realistic is just odd as fuck.

Imo, he makes perfectly fine movies, but it’s not enough to say just that. You have to go above and beyond with your admiration otherwise you’re a hater. So it goes
he stands out as one of very few mega-budget directors who is both consistently commercially successful and at least tries creatively to make interesting and unique new movies that don’t follow the primary industry trends, and that relative singularity has created a weird bubble of religious adoration
