    Ah, but you have forgotten the… oft-forgot measure of weight the “goose ton.” Which is, of course, often referred to simply as a “ton” by those who natively use it.

    It originates sometime around 1500-1700 and is surprisingly still in usage today by goose farmers, though very uncommon outside of that niche group. It’s the average weight of the average goose’s shit production on the average goose diet- extremely scientific and pragmatic considering the metric ton (don’t get confused!) of goose shit present for these farmers. Of course some geese are larger or have goose-IBS and thus produce more than the expected one goose ton of shit per day- up to three geese tons, in fact.
