[ When I was living in Austin TX I had a full beer thrown at me from a lifted truck. I was just walking, and he screamed “Get a job you homeless piece of shit”. If he was smart enough to get his truck to roll coal he would have done that too. I was pissed. Flipped him off. Full fight mode. Bro pulled into the parking lot of a nearby strip mall but sped off when he realized I was serious about fighting him. I was absolutely serious, and would have died in that parking lot if that was what God willed. Here’s the thing though, I had a car, a nice car, a brand new sports car even. I had a job, a good job, a side hustle, and I was doing drops, which means I was the plug son. I paid rent. By every metric I was not the person he was trying to target. I was just walking to the Planet K that wasn’t even a half-mile from my apartment complex. Normal shit. Walking is a revolutionary act. Because I was walking I was seen as less than, unhuman. It was a deeply radicalizing thing.
I haven’t had a car in over two years. I walk everywhere, dozens of miles a week. Gas prices should be like 11 dollars a gallon, I don’t give a fuck. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueAnon/comments/1ux4ojg/the_comments_on_any_video_involving_a_bicycle_are/)
Unlike most copypastas, this one is totally believable, nothing pisses off the burger central cortex like seeing someone on foot.
Often times they feel compelled to yell something unintelligible out the window at you, just catcalling any pedestrian or cyclist.
What is it with guys with lifted trucks and throwing full beers at people?
Same thing happened to me when I was walking with a friend down in Southie (South Boston for those unfamiliar)
Called us slurs, hurled the bottle of Sam Adams, missed by a country mile, had to stop at a red light right up the block, I had to resist the urge to key up his truck
Settled for spitting on the hood and running off like a gazelle
I automatically assume that anyone who drives a lifted truck is an asshole, doubly so if it doesn’t have any mud on it at all.
The funniest part is that it being so tall, it definitely limited his ability to throw accurately, since he basically had to remove his seat belt and lean full over to the passenger window
A true alcoholic wouldn’t waste the beer. Stealing addict valor.
I’ve fought drunker, more powerful alcoholics back in Milwaukee
Often while drunk myself
Is “full beer” a new common noun?
It shows a certain level of rage where they’re willing to sacrifice beer to throw a more powerful projectile
Having had empties tossed at me, it’s a very different experience
Do they really value the beer though?
Probably not as much I do
Even though I am no longer a casual beer drinker
I am also a ranked beer drinker.
I considered a career as a cicerone, but my allergies kept me from being able to taste subtle flavors, so that went out the window
Even though I am no longer a casual beer drinker
I tried to go pro as a drinker, but the only sponsors I could find were for AA!

Well I guess you’d expect that they’d drink the beer before throwing it at someone. A real South Boston Irishman would drink it at least. That guy is probably from some commuter suburb where everyone’s got a three car garage full of lifted trucks.
called us slurs, hurled the bottle of Sam Adams, missed by a country mile
That’s just Boston, they’d do it from a civic too.
True
One of the most racist places I have ever been
And i’m from Milwaukee, where they literally built a highway to keep the black people away from the white people
At least Milwaukee is Italophobic: that statue of Fonz still exists.
There’s a picture out there of me climbing it!
The second time I visited the US as a child, we flew into Boston and rented a car. Outside a gas station, I saw two white men call each other the N-word and then fistfight until one was knocked unconscious.
Milwaukee is still the most racist place I’ve been.
Yeah, it’s bad out there
Spent a quarter of a century there and still feel very conflicted about it
On the one hand, a lot of my friends and family are there
On the other hand, i’m missing teeth after some fucking West Allis Nazi punks jumped me after a basement show
So, land of contrasts
Yeah that’s some classic TA style posting you don’t see muchua that these days duya
I’m surprised it’s not Throwaway
If Throwaway wrote it they’d be driving a Crosstrek
“nice gas prices, loser
”Had a dude in a mustang attempt to throw a Gatorade bottle at me for checks notes not trusting cars to not turn into me as I crossed a crosswalk, while I’m the midst of scoring free water from Publix( was out of ice) while the sun beat tf down as me and my partner figured out a game plan to not be ✨houseless✨ and was making my way back to said partner. This is with a chapped ass (walked 14 mi) from the other night when I had taken issue with being called ageist, when discussing hostile architecture, when trying to ground the deeply traumatized individual who we eventually left anyways because our intentions and honor were constantly being questioned, despite showing genuine care and concern and possibly indulging in her delusions… I’m not a psych doctor by any means so I tried my best. And it wasn’t good enough, per usual
Best part was being called a liar, that there’s no way I could walk 14mi, meanwhile I’ve walked nearly 60mi within 4 days, one was a rest in between. And I can walk about 23 in one go, no training, no conditioning, just bed rotted.
God this is what i did every day before i moved away from the US i was so psychotic I miss it
Of course, subtract having a nice car B)
One time a Nissan threw some shit at me and my girl. Missed by Bout 50 ft. Drove off before I could do anything.
Memorized the plate and when I saw the car again parked on the side of the road a few months after stabbed the tires. Burgers are deranged like you live here a few miles from me and you throwing shit. I’m your neighbor dumbass I know where you live.
As a carpenter, I always carry a couple nails in my pocket. Some of them end up on the asphalt but that’s not really pollution.
