THE GOVERNMENT, TWO DAYS AGO: ISN’T THERE SOMEONE YOU FORGOT TO ASK???
I don’t need to be cautioned about how this would have been a bad idea but like holy fucking shit if I want to court addiction to a fucking pseudo opiate that should be my fucking business! I literally and for the only time had the thought of “what if I just take this fucking ONCE to try to sleep, maybe if I can just sleep once or twice it’ll help my shoulder recover”
But no! This country has to do everything in its power to maximize the pain and suffering of everyone alive. I’m so fucking ANGRY. I could not be more angry at this constantly happening and the people responsible just constantly getting away with it. What new fucked to death way will they fuck everyone tomorrow and how much fucking more will they get away with it?
Meanwhile the fucking doctor I saw who gave me less care and attention than a fucking LLM (which nobody needs to tell me can do nothing more than provide a facsimile of pretending to even be able to give a shit) just threw prescription muscle relaxers at me with no discussion or explanation of her intent for me to use or side effects or anything. I could have fucking killed myself with those, but ah, the medical gatekeeper said that would have been fine.
I feel like I’m never going to see anything good happen ever again and not in a “i’m depressed” way but in a “ive literally never seen anything get better for anyone in 36 years” way

Yo I think I generally agree with you just wanted to throw out a tip that might help. Take the standard recommended safe dose of acetaminophen and then also take a standard safe dose of ibuprofen at the same time. It is generally regarded as safe, the mechanisms of action are mutually beneficial and possibly even magnify each other, and the toxicity does not compound.
Sorry if you already tried it, do not mean to patronize. I’ve been spreading the word to my older or injured coworkers and they report back the next day saying it made them feel incredible for the first time in decades
Thanks, I already knew about that but is still good advice to share. It feels the best it has been in months r/n but i’m still probably somewhat drunk and under the influence of a muscle relaxer. I think I really just needed to fix this fucking bed situation before it started, and it’s just going to be slow healing because of how long it was fucked up
If you wanna share with them an equally important bit of random info, make sure everybody you know knows you’re not supposed to have a memory foam mattress on a box spring, a slatted platform with gaps too wide, etc. It has to be on a rigid, flat, uniform surface or apparently it will literally kill you
Like seriously, I would put my hand on my neck while laying down and the alignment would make it feel like my spine was trying to penetrate and exit my neck. Just putting the mattress on the floor (temporary measure until we get something else, don’t do that because of bugs, and humidity underneath) fixed that immediately. For myself and my partner (who thankfully hasn’t had the disabling level of pain I’ve had, but still has had pain)
It’s wild how small of a thing that seems like, but I had no idea. Maybe if the doctor hadn’t rushed through our visit she’d have thought to ask my bedding situation, but she didn’t. I only found out memory foam mattresses like tempurpedic, nest, etc., need a rigid support because I was googling random shit about my pain and the search LLM mentioned it
Which fucking sucks btw, I think I’m already well past annoying every person in my life with “the lying machine said this” and “Google’s llm said that” but i really don’t think I’d have ever been informed without fucking around typing in bullshit about my pain. I wish a person had told me. But they didn’t and i don’t know how to not use or talk about information just because AI sucks
