It’s convinced me that the cold war was basically the continuation of Nazi aggression against the Soviet Union. The American government was using the statements from these Nazi “scientists” (sadistic murderers who recorded their crimes/“experiments”) to justify the expansion of the military industrial complex and the development of missiles, biological/chemical weapons, and other weapons. Some of these nazis were literally continuing their work in the same labs in Germany (illegally btw) under supervision of the American military before they were shipped off to America.
Then they were writing memos for the department of war fear mongering about the Russian threat in order to justify dumping ludicrous amounts of money into weapons during what was supposed to be peace time.
These were guys who were freezing people to death, killing them with pressure chambers, hanging, beating to death, starving, working them to death, and because the frothing psychopaths in the military decided they needed a leg up on the soviets they were aquitted (if they saw a courtroom at all) and given free passes to live as free men.
Fucking Werner Von Braun directly oversaw the development/production of V-2s, 20,000 people were murdered on the production line, and he got a cushey job developing more rockets for the US for the rest of his life.

I have to agree, america (already spiritually a Nazi country) importing and absorbing all these Nazis and giving them prestigious posts in various universities (I’m sure they didn’t mould any young impressionable minds right?), NATO being staffed with a bunch of Nazis, shit barely any Nazis saw a noose or a firing squad when you see how many were just let go.
Shit Germany has the audacity to continue using the same naming scheme for armoured vehicles as they did under the Nazis, and it’s not like they can claim they had a pre-nazi tank tradition they’re sticking with. You learn these things and it’s hard to argue that the Nazis didn’t win the cold war
Also remember the US didn’t enter the war until pearl harbor, and many US industrialists including Ford argued that the US entered on the wrong side, and should have taken on the communists at the beginning. There is an argument that the 2 atomic bombs were to prevent Japan from surrendering to the Soviet Union… capitalists ultimately side with fascism, it’s the logical conclusion of monopoly
Oh yea capitalists preferring fascists to commies wasn’t surprising to me, what I didn’t know was how directly the US military used testimony from nazis (who had just been trying to exterminate every Soviet citizen) in order to justify developing weapons (often the same weapons they were preparing in Germany) to use against the soviets
Nazis were always a continuation of the US model, the Nazis themselves cited US law as their defense and the fascist movement was funded and proliferated by US academia and capitalists more than anywhere else. Once the Nazis lost, the US picked the mantle back up and kept it going.
True, lebensraum & manifest destiny are basically two sides of the same coin, America is the example these fascist states attempt to emulate
and greater israel is the third side of this extradimensional coin

At the risk of never being able to dismiss a conspiracy theory about the USA out of hand again, Operation Gladio provides a LOT of additional ammunition for this hypothesis. It’s kinda like the Operation Paperclip that the US (with the help of the Mafia, Masons, and Vatican [no, really]) perpetrated on Europe
That’s gotta be next on my list, do you have any recommendations on reading up on gladio? I also need to find some info on the related Operation Bloodstone which from my understanding was basically operation paperclip but for concentration camp guards and other low level thugs

I haven’t read it personally but I’ve seen a recommendation for NATO’s Secret Armies: Operation Gladio and Terrorism in Western Europe.
I remember being blown away in 2005 when my teacher showed us this movie, which asserted the same thing in 1964
Apparently it was never really secret (some of it was reported on in newspapers at the time) and people from the state department on down to regular civilians were vehemently opposed to the idea of importing all these nazis, but other higher ups were adamant they needed these nazis so they did all sorts of shit to downplay and conceal their role in crimes against humanity in order to bring them into the states
Check out Blitzed on the drug usage of the Nazi regime as well, and you can see the start of the drug cartels with the SS Financial arm requesting pure cocaine to sell overseas.
