EoP (Ethernet over Power)
Just in case you were trying to be serious, that thing looks like a USB battery charger. Power line networking (in general, not the TM) adapters plug directly the eth device on the power.
(And possibly don’t work well in an outlet multiplier… it depends on the details.)
I am aware, OP saying EoP just made me think of powerline and I wanted to share it for anybody who hasn’t heard of it since its a neat technology :)
Appreciate you sharing this for anyone whos unaware though! I also didn’t know that plugging it into an outlet multiplier could have issues, thats interesting.
If it’s only an outlet multiplier, it doesn’t cause many issues. Those things usually come with more circuitry than just the outlets, and some of them will destroy the signal.
whoosh
HAH GOTTEM FANTASTIC COMMENT
This is actually a thing, you know. I mean, not this silly thing we’re seeing here, but ethernet over power.
It’s called powerline.
I legitimately thought this was a shitpost until I read the other comments.
This works much better
Good ol ether killer.
A xoomer might say they just be downloading some AC/DC
But they’re only getting some bad DC
Could use a Gardena-to-220 adapter.
You have seen power over ethernet now get ready for ethernet over power (it’s an actual thig btw)
Very strong internet!
I’m in.
