I like how we keep getting articles from people who are like, It’s a real mystery why a virus that targets blood vessels causes long term, unseen issues in a body made largely of blood vessels. Anyway, I’m doing fine and haven’t noticed anything wrong after my numerous infections.

These “ah hah” moments are offensive to me at this point. Especially because they are so condescending about it most of the time, like you alluded too.

I had covid for the 3rd? time a couple months ago. The actual respiratory part was meh. Bad but fine. But what was horrible was that my right temple had some sort of vascular problem where anytime my blood pressure went up (like exercising) for like a week after I’d “recovered” it was like being stabbed in the temple. Such a bad migraine I’d literally be moaning in pain. Fetal position. So yeah not sure what the fuck that was about but it went away thankfully.

My partner was diagnosed with 2 autoimmune diseases that were essentially pushed into overdrive after their second bout with COVID.

I’m not saying COVID gave them the diseases, but it definitely contributed to their escalation.

Sorry to hear that, comrade. Yeah, there’s a definite lack of information and messaging out there about post acute infection recovery. Because Covid causes your chance of heart attack and stroke to increase for like 6 months after that acute infection I’ve seen recommendations to to cut exercise for months afterwards. I myself, after my one infection back in 2021/2, only waited a month afterward to go back to jogging and cringe at how I was pushing myself to get my numbers back up. I was getting random moments of heart racing for like a year afterwards. 🙃😷

I get really debilitating headaches (migraines?) after having Covid 2 times. They used to recur every couple of months but now are every 6 months or less. I’m hoping they eventually just go away but who knows

My ears are fucked up following the strep infection I got after Covid. Almost daily head/earaches with a random 2 month period last year where they were gone completely. Like wtf.🤷
