I don’t speak Spanish, but this looks really cool, it’s like it’s own little world.

It’s a demo for a recording tool that allows for the recording and replay of hundreds of individual entities, cars and/or npcs.

Essentially, the mod maker programmed all npcs to walk a certain path, recorded their individual animation, and then replayed them all at the same time, to give the impression of a busy street and sidewalk, far fuller than anything the game engine can do on its own. They did the same with the parked cars, and the driving cars.

The main tradeoff is that the “npcs” will not react to player actions, since they are just displaying a pre-programmed path. They can only be objects that you can clip through, or if you activate collisions, bump into. Because of this, the mod maker believes this is best suited for fan made films or cutscenes, or to interact with mission builders to help populate the world programmatically, without interfering with other moving bits of the world.

They then conclude hoping that in the future there will be a mod powerful enough to simulate a whole city with a realistic amount of people, like the one shown in the video.

I think it’s pretty neat! And I didn’t know the GTASA community was making such sophisticated tools working with that wonky-ass engine.
