The all-electric Dacia Spring now starts at just €11,900
But how can men be men if they drive that pussy little thing? Only 23 kWh and 70 bhp? I bet it couldn’t even hold up my truck nuts. /s
I don’t need to compensate. I like small cars - they are so much more agile on the road. I don’t need more power - it doesn’t take much skill to make up for low horsepower, and again I don’t need to prove anything with my car.
Not a Spring or even an EV, but my Sandero pushes out 70hp and it’s a fantastic car. One litre of pure rage and agricultural gearbox.
I’m a big Dacia fan. I’d deffo buy a Spring if I could.
At the moment though living semi-rurally, there isn’t really the financial incentive or contingency planning available for having both cars as EVs otherwise I’d be all over the Spring.
I’m a big Dacia fan.
This is a Dacia badged Dongfeng EV. Affectionately known as the Little Dong.
*cries quietly in ‘merican*
“Good news…”
It appears that the Dacia Spring is now the cheapest new car in germany. Most small cars currently have their base price at approx. 15.000€, and the Dacia Spring is available for 11.900€.
They could be 1000 euros, the Chinese government is dumping them anyway. Not sure why auto companies were fined in the past for dumping but China gets a pass.
Not sure if you’re just being reactionary without knowing things or what…
Dacia is a French (originally Romanian) company that has been around since 1966.
They are very well known and popular in Europe.
The dacia spring is made in china.
It is a chinese-designed car, but I’m not sure it’s actually made in China.
From german wikipedia, translated:
The Dacia Spring Electric is a battery-electric powered small car from the Romanian car manufacturer Dacia, which has been produced since 2021 in China by Dongfeng in Wuhan.

This POS is a Dacia badge stuck on a Dongfeng EV. They do that to sell to morons. Judging by the up/downvotes, it’s a winning strategy. TEMU Furrari.
