The administration claimed that blocking arms transfers would embolden Hamas — ignoring Israel’s genocidal slaughter.

It failed on the floor, but got an impressive 18 votes, I think. Done.

    All Republicans voted against it.

That was guaranteed, the Democrats that voted against it is the important part; these are the people to campaign against and vote out.

Sure, then you can have Republicans replace them and be assured it never comes up for a vote at all. The logic is outstanding.

          The logic is outstanding.

You mean the logic of just ignoring that primaries exist in order to prop op the false dichotomy that led to losing all parts of the government to a literal fascist party?

Yeah, your logic IS outstandingly bad.

Republicans will not allow a vote on the floor to limit Israeli arms. Democrats did. Simple

Again falsely assuming that the only Democrats possible are the crappy Republican Lite Neoliberals that lost everything to the fascists 🙄

How are you still making this argument? I hope you’re a bot, because if that’s a human brain behind these words that’s depressing.

Voting-oriented do nothing liberals are just waiting with their thumbs up their asses for one more chance to vote for the “lesser evil” Democrats who are worse than the “greater evil” Republicans of 20 years ago.

I don’t want to hear any more complaints from liberals until they fucking get out in the streets and actually take meaningful political actions that matter. Voting is nothing now, don’t you see? If enough of you cowards joined the left in being anti-genocide, if enough of you joined protests and riots and strikes and actual direct action, if enough of you considered voting to be the bare minimum and not the entirety of your civic duty, then and only then would we actually see any improvement.

I’m sick of hearing about how people didn’t vote properly. get the fuck out there and take real action. If not now, when?

You’re the people standing idly by and enabling the greatest evils. You’re the ones future generations will be asking about when they say “why didn’t anyone do anything?”

Nobody is going to talk about a minority of leftists choosing not to vote pro-genocide. They’re all going to be talking about do nothing cowardly Democrats watching their country go to shit because voting is the only thing they consider political action.

Stop punching left. Join us on the left and punch back. You fucking idiots.

Keep running, that’s my point. You’re useless now and will be for at least 4 years. Leave the work to the grown ups

Edit: Oh my God I think he means running for office. He literally can’t imagine political action outside of elections. Libs gonna lib.

Exactly. There’s going to be a lot of calls for Democrats to eat each other in the next 4 years.

For some, that time is coming. Come nov 2026 midterms all class 2 senators are up for reelection (and then class 3 in 2028). While there are more Republicans up at that point than Democrats, the strategy will be the same, and many of those Republican seats seem pretty safe.

And Republicans will never allow the Senate to vote on arms supply to Israel. It’s really that simple.

Yep. And trolls will paint this as “both sides the same.” I wonder if Trump will get a “genocide” moniker?
