  • I’m very religious but while I mainly agree with you, I’m always prudent when I see people (not you obviously) presenting religion as a cure for depression.

Religion is very powerful, but it can break people as much as it can help them. If someone is depressed or ill at ease, they can more easily be spiritually, psychologically or even physically abused.

That’s why, when someone with psychological troubles come in my community, I welcome them wholeheartedly, but encourage them to seek professional help first and foremost.

  • They know the most well known Pokémon thanks to merch and a few old cards that my wife and me had when we were children and conserved.

My oldest watched a few episodes when she was 5, and “read” a Pokémon manga after (she watched the images, she didn’t know how to read). I promised her that I will teach her how to play the cards when she’ll know how to read … I will keep my promise and buy her her own deck for her 7th birthday :-)

  • Israel is a lot of things, but not an ethnostate. Falashas and Sefardim aren’t white, and they’re recognized as citizens as much as Ashkenazim, at least legally (there is racism between Jews in Israel too, but it’s the case everywhere).

I don’t understand why Israel is the only criminal State in the world that progressive people want totally destroyed. Russia, Iran, Syria, … are imperialist criminal states too, and progressive people “only” want their government changed. I want the fascist government of Israel overthrown, but I have no right to call for the destruction of the country itself. The only difference is Judaism.

Not all handicaps are visible. I know someone, quite young (mid-30s) and very healthy-looking. But she has a bad tension: if she stays standing for too long, it’s very uncomfortable and she may even faint. Older people feel entitled to take her seat and don’t understand when she refuse.
