No one is afraid of the Cuban economy.
After decades of embargo, and going even further to punish countries that do business with Cuba.
No shit! Sherlock.
Also the ISP probably knows most of the servers speedtest owns and accelerate speeds for them along with other popular speed test websites, while throttling other regular connections.
Do they publish any of the data from these surveys or use it as an excuse to remove more useful features?
“We listen to our community, so now we’re removing about: config
access from stable desktop builds to match the mobile version to provide uniform builds, making problems easier to replicate and also provide better security for all. Please use beta or nightly builds for tinkering.”
Then we’ll make our own fedi-services with blackjack and hookers, someday… One can dream.
People don’t realize how much of reddit content is made by bot farms and advertising agencies, propaganda outlets with bots to spare. Which is what’s keeping the normies entertained, not the nerds, not the niche community of a few thousand people.
People like the one you’re replying to always are so sure their echo chamber is right when reality is like complete opposite. Most people on reddit are lurkers and not terminally online people. They just want to scroll and fucking waste time. Community, subs and their mods or rules be damned.
They don’t care if the cat videos are on a banana sub. they’ll happily upvote and scroll away while the terminally online will start complaining why the post is not fit, a repost, or against the rules for 100s of time. And as always, once they leave, they think it is dead.
The only app in my opinion that has kind of reasonable size is their voice recognition, while it looks kind of ugly compared to Transcribro.
I think an icon of a microphone for a STT app is much much much better than that UX disaster Transcribo is. lol
yea. but they get to claim like they fund the opensource world. like come on… stop posting fake funding claims on an anonymous forum and hire yourself a developer team if you’re so invested in this.
But whaa… developers salary aren’t funded by your $2 dollar donations, even with 100s of donations. oh geez… who woulda thought.
The original mastodon post was with more details, and some drama, but the guy is trying to spam this link everywhere he can. so desperate for attention. lol
Because these posts are nothing but the model making up something believable to the user. This “prompt engineering” is like asking a parrot who’s learned quite a lot of words (but not their meaning), and then the self-proclaimed “pet whisperer” asks some random questions and the parrot, by coincidence makes up something cohesive. And he’s like “I made the parrot spill the beans.”
I found both sides rather aggressive to be honest.
This was what I thought as well. The PR was a simple request that I thought wasn’t political at all, just a matter of inclusion which I thought fit. Kling got aggressive thinking it was a political move or some shit then the rest piled on calling him names and such.
I think he just thought it was bringing politics into his project, I don’t think he was taking any sides at all but people made up their minds. His silence is a bit concerning, probably ignoring it all but, whatever, It’s his project.
I don’t feel compelled to argue an interpretation. The facts are well documented and their interpretations by experts available. What anyone chooses to do with these are of no real concern to me.
but then
It’s weird how many people in this thread are vaguely debating the validity of the historical research into this question when one person has posted a link to a well cited article on this very very heavily studied subject.
Well cited article aren’t proof of existenceof a man. Is spiderman real if enough people cite the comics? A group of influential people could gather and make their own circle of these myths and present it as a fact. And it isn’t fucking new.
https://www.chronicle.com/article/the-dark-world-of-citation-cartels
Religions and all their influence could force a lot of heavily studied subject to be skewed for their benefit. Hell, there were studies that were treated as standard making sugar and alcohol heavily beneficial for human beings. And we’re talking about a person.
I’m just glad there are companies that are trying to optimize current tech rather than just piling over new hardware every damn year with forced planned obsolescence.
Though the claim is absurd, I think double the performance is NEAT.
Yeah, thousands of tabs seems extreme. But “you should dedicate a larger amount of time and effort all day, every day to make the computer’s job easier” is a bad take.
Computers don’t magically make things easier, it just does as it is told(as instructed by code). Computers don’t come out as a self-made human assistant that adapts to your personal needs and can magically do anything you want.
If it’s so much of a burden that smarter people haven’t figured it out, go at it. You might just fix it.
But “to make computer’s job easier” is the dumbest shit I’ve heard in a while.
I can’t believe people construed the lack of this feature in a brand new software as bad Canonical want to kill deb!
Most loud mouth open source enthusiasts are often toxic entitled choosing beggars. If any of their desires are not met, the project is dying or dead even though the statistics say otherwise.
Fork it and fix things you want to make it better?
No way bro. I want someone else to work on the feature I requested one year ago.
I get your point, but I don’t think the ones who protest are the ones vacationing in a luxury island. I assume majority of them are rich or spoilt assholes.
Why do you think they picked the guy as the CEO?
It’s all free market until they can no longer compete. Then it’s time to get down and play dirty.
You’re trying to get Trump elected.
