It got some laughs out of me but I was interested to know what people thought about

them bringing back Apu. As I recall The Problem with Apu is not just about voice acting or even being a caricature but that he became an icon of anti-Indian bigotry. In that respect is it even possible for him to be reformed? That was a question people were asking 10 years ago and I somewhat suspect that Disney’s hope here is that it’s been long enough that we’ve forgotten to ask it.
i tried to track down if a certain person who apparently hasn’t been active on socials for a long time had anything to say and people were extremely not normal in his mentions
I think there’s a chance to redeem things but i have zero faith in simpsons writing this late in the day
Going deep in those mentions and even comments on unrelated youtube videos in 2023, they literally never gave up harrassing the dude after ten years. No surprise he ain’t active on socials. Didn’t realize the chuds were still on this like gamergate. Describing chuds as beings motivated only by hate always feels reductive but how else can one explain this kinda shit.

i was not expecting it at all but i was kinda distracted by everybody else sounding like shit because the main actors are a million years old and the show is elder abuse
still haven’t watched it, actually just began catching up on all the simpsons episodes I missed since I stopped regularly hate watching about 3 years ago
binging the show while drinking, a binge and binge if you would
took about 5 episodes to get to a joke that made me really laugh hard but that was something at least
planning on watching the treehouse of horrors in a couple of days
