My mom had been an animal crossing fan along with me since the GameCube game. She was sooooo stoked you could spin your umbrella. It’s too bad New Horizons sucks. We both sold our copies and she doesn’t know her way around an emulator to play New Leaf again on the computer.

Literally one of the best features in a game, next to fishing minigames and being able to pat dogs
Tales of Sumphonia has a game long sidquest to give every dog a nickname. You have to use a specific character as your overworld character and the dissapears from the party or is otherwise incapable of naming dogs often. Its a tuff quest and doesn’t give much of a reward but those dogs need nicknames!
