I know everyone sympathizes with Tom but he was obviously an asshole who wanted Jerry dead. Not Jerry’s fault he got clowned on because Jerry was just smarter. Skill issue
tom was an ally to a marginalized domestic worker, likely underpaid, who was being terrorized and harassed by “jerry”, a known carrier of hanta virus. this was discussed in Joseph Barbera’s memoirs and is canon.
