that sounds miserable
Tablet-based modeling is a baffling concept to me. More power to them, I guess.
From my understanding, desktop computers / laptops are a lot less common in the developing world, while phones and tablets are relatively more accessible. I’m sure the experience is dreadful compared to a proper workstation, but it makes all the difference in the world to someone who only has an android phone to be able to use software like this. Godot (the full editor, not just an export target) has also been ported to Android.
It’s for sculpting. Which is the most hardware intensive way to model too lol.
I don’t think most people are doing manual topology modeling with a tablet.
One of the biggest headaches facing Google’s push to make Android more of a desktop platform is the professional sector.
that, and the number of apps that support keyboard shortcuts is like 6.
I don’t think android is at all ready for desktop in any respect, disregarding the fact that it sucks out loud. Also, how long has this push been ongoing? I remember netbooks that could boot a funny android…

and probably nobody did that because netbooks could run nearly any linux distro, almost no android apps were compiled to x86, and pretty much no android apps were better than the linux versions.
It was a preconfigured OEM option from what I can tell, very silly initiative. I think the idea is that it would boot faster than windows, but my netbooks run arch (btw) from SSDs so lmao

Krita works fairly well on android tablets, I think it’s good to have blender, too
Installed blender on my PC to play with creating models last night, it will be cool to play with it on android 🙂↔️
I’ve been looking at a potential tablet alternative for my desktop zbrush-blender workflow. makes me wonder what kind of tablet i would have to get for a nomad sculptor + blender pipeline.
A piece of crap tablet might do better than you would expect with the exception of Cycles rendering. The baker in Nomad is probably more suitable than the one in Blender in terms of usability.
