I really wanna know why these people aren’t just on reddit
The urban sprawl of reddit doesn’t let these petite bourgeois loosers live out their dreams of being lord of their own little slice of land. They’re internet suburbanite speculators moving into prime real estate to buy it on the cheap then gentrify it when it pops off with the masses
They don’t like the gentrification of reddit, they want in on the ground floor to reddit 2. And then reddit 3 when reddit 2 does the same thing.
Reddit was already Digg 2.

it’s mostly because these kind of people are what make reddit insufferable to begin with. They just want more of what reddit is like right now.
They are leaving because of the corporate changing at reddit.
And then kvetch about Lemmy being too anti-corporate

The issue is that they are leaving reddit for reddit. They want to do reddit stuff here too.
