Besides what others have said, facial hair does not disappear when testosterone levels drop. There’s a ton of secondary sex characteristics that just switch when your hormone levels change, but for some of them that only works once and you need something else than hormones to reverse it. Facial hair is one example of that. It does get thinner and often lighter over time, but when you’ve ever been exposed to high enough testosterone levels to turn vellum (peach fuzz) into terminal hairs (the kind that is visible as 5 o clock shadow), you can only get rid of it for good with laser or electrolysis. So if you have your balls removed as an adult and don’t take testosterone supplements, beard growth will not just go away. Which is really fucking unfortunate if you don’t want facial hair, because blocking testo is a very easy thing to do, whereas having your face blasted with lasers over and over again is pretty damn painful.
Oh this makes a lot of sense. Also useful for me bc I’m cis but my facial hair pattern sucks (legit I can only grow a neckbeard) so laser might be a longer term solution compared to shaving every day
