I do get a little tired how people here treat metal gear solid series. Its points are basic with a shit ton of racism and sexism. Like, if you like it its fine, we all have our things. But it will always be weird to me has its treated as one of the most based series. I just will never be able to get the image out of my head of Kojima playing with this doll of Quiet with life like boobs. Though idk its been a while, maybe it wasnt him but I do remember that being on some official thing.

Yeah, I have infinitely more respect for someone who is willing to admit that they like a work that’s problematic than someone who writes reams of text about how anyone who sees questionable elements is objectively wrong / media illiterate / a fun hater.
Maybe someday I’ll write a Grand Master Post of all the problematic elements in things I like that I can link back to whenever someone gets super-hostile over my criticism of something they like.
