Hello, sorry to double post, especially because I actually got my need covered. On one hand, I’m getting paid in the next few days, depending if Labor Day fucks over paychecks this week it may even be tonight. I worked a lot of hours and have a plan to get some financial independence in these next couple weeks (trying as hard as humanly possible not to post on here unless I’m helping), I was actually just talking to another user on the comm about this last night.
Dropped it walking out a door with full hands. The screen worked just long enough for me to get a plan together. When I get paid, I’m buying the same phone I currently have with a case. It’s a Samsung A16, it’s on Amazon for $130, $70 cheaper than when I bought it in person. It’s a pretty great phone for the price, and more importantly it’s unlocked, which is required for my carrier. I still plan on trying to avoid posting on here separate from asking for help with my phone since this is a pretty big unexpected expense and let’s face it, with my income this was going to cause me to be asking later on this pay period. So I’m going to try and get this covered and do nothing else.
Going into the financial plan that’ll make me money these next couple weeks in the spoiler. Explaining this because I don’t want y’all thinking I got a manic hair up my ass and decided to do something that I absolutely can’t afford if it goes wrong. If you don’t want the details, just know that this isn’t costing me anything more than what’s currently in my budget
The financial independence plan
So y’all’s can assume what I’m going for. I’m not going to go into specifics because comm rules, but it is legal in my state. I’m going to be selling “greeting cards”. My old supplier messaged me, congratulated me for going through rehab and getting sober from alcohol. He’s from my city, but moved to Portland to make his business. Well, in his normal fashion, he offered me about $500-900 (8Oz) worth of greeting cards for $40 for my first time back because we’ve always had really strong business and personal relationships. Well, that’s my monthly budget for greeting cards (the kind and corny messages help me sleep and relieve me of arthritic pain) and is getting me 16x more greeting cards than I currently get. So this isn’t me making a stupid financial decision, the cost is completely in line with what I spend for my medicinal use, and even if I can’t sell any of the cards, that’s like a 6-7 month supply, so it’s $40 I don’t have to spend next month.
As always, I appreciate y’all’s even if you can’t help. My life isn’t y’all’s responsibility, so I appreciate the people that I can kinda just rant about this shit to, even if they can’t help financially.
Venmo is @thenewvenven that’s where my paycheck goes so if you send it there just message me and tell me how much you sent please. At least until I get some way to log into my accounts. And my roommate’s PayPal is jasminefjara@gmail.com

Thank you so much ❤️ In good news, I found a SIM tool so I’m using my phone from high school. I have my calendar and an alarm clock, along with access to a phone albeit an undependable one. I still haven’t gotten paid, so I’m assuming it comes in tomorrow night
