Obviously there’s no quick fix to patriarchy orremoved culture but the rotten, misogynistic, apologist, opportunist Becker clique has got to go if this org is going to be anything more than a hotbed of abuse and exploitation. I genuinely loved and respected my rank and file comrades, this shit makes my blood boil.
Age limit the primary party and run a separate youth wing like CPB does with YCL.
Oddly enough I’ve never heard an accusation like this in any British orgs. Either the british orgs are better at coverups (doubtful?), it’s a uniquely american thing and more frequent there because of it (also doubtful?) or it’s used in ops by US intelligence frequently while not used in ops by UK intelligence, which would explain the huge disparity in accusations/cases.
I do find it fairly odd that this comes up so frequently in american communist orgs. Maybe i just grossly underestimate how much more gross american men are.
I think there is a big inquiry going on about how the UK intelligence/police used male operatives to abuse and manipulate women, with the goal of lessening their efficacy and the orgs? Granted the record runs dry 20 years ago but no reason to think it stopped.
