Sorry for sharing the worst slop imaginable, but this was too much unintended irony to bear on my own
Tetris, but the wall is STRONG and AMERICAN so the only option is self-destruction
The tetris piece RNG doesn’t seem to work properly either. Seems like the US will still need a long time to achieve game design parity with the 1980s USSR
Points for originality for dehumanizing immigrants as a horde of zombies instead of making the obvious alien pun, though

That’s because no human being touched the code or tested the game.
When will this timeline end

Didn’t know Tetris came from the USSR though that’s really cool (interesting how they never point that out unlike with early Japanese games, obviously because in the USSR fun was illegal)
In the early days, Tetris was specifically marketed as being from the USSR, and practically every version had an image of St. Basil’s cathedral on the cover or in the game.

I like this DOS version with the Soviet-inspired backgrounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKBHFg-qxPY
I’m partial to the MacOS 6 version

also because IIRC the american fuck who “acquired” rights shafted the original creators, which is good business, yes yes, but possibly not the best look.
The Tetris company kinda sucks.
If you have 3.5 hours, Acerola did a deep dive on the history of Tetris and looked at literally every officially released game.
but acerola
One of the best youtubers

I didn’t understand because the title made no sense, but that’s just because the “game” makes no sense. They really put together the USA’s top minds to make this happen
