I’m just messing around with features I haven’t tried yet, it’s not a big deal, but I was fiddling with NFC settings and it let my connect my Google wallet but then Google wallet said I couldn’t use it because it’s not secure or whatever P: how come?
Edit: to clarify, I also read that there were no other options in the US for contactless payment but there’s service or services popping up in Europe, so maybe it’s for those services and I have answered my own question?
Was it specifically for Google Wallet? Or was it just generic NFC payment system?
Generic, like installed with a quick settings tile, it suggested google as the service to use, but after setting it up, google won’t use a rooted device to make NFC payments.
I think I figured, tho, it’s probably for any future service that could become available, and the reason it still let me connect Google is because it does work for like, loyalty cards, etc
That makes sense, if it’s an open protocol they should support it.
