I also have a hard time with digital painting since the fluid simulation is very minimal. When I paint it ends up feeling more like drawing with a lot of brushstrokes. I try to use the smudge tool and eyedropper a lot with those brushes to make it feel like the paint is mixing.
Yeah, I know what you mean, it never feels like real paint mixing, I might try smudging and eyedropping a lot myself to see if it blends things a little better, thanks!
