I know you aren’t necessarily saying this but I think it bares repeating: Platner was never directly affiliated with the DSA, and the Maine DSA never officially endorsed him, though they did initially advise their members to vote for him. He got support from some Internet figures associated with the DSA but I don’t think the group ever provided him with direct support.
