Y’all remember World Unity II where we were so civilised with the Nazis that we stopped them gassing Soviets and Jews by eventually getting along so well we all compromised i-love-not-thinking

The west likes to rewrite history, erasing the contributions of the Soviet Union’s massive human decency industry in defeating the nazis. Millions of Red Army soldiers died trying to hug it out with enemy forces, finally breaking the genocidal push at Stalingrad through the unstoppable tactic of appealing to shared humanity. The nazi soldiers, so astounded by the soviet commitment to peaceful coexistence with fascists, threw down their arms and collectively marched to work camps where their labor would be put to use rebuilding the societies they’d destroyed.

It was actually on the jagged rubble of Stalingrad that a red army private’s grenade pin snagged as he went to hug a nazi, accidentally discovering an offensive use for the weapon and turning the tide of the war at a terrible cost.

      It’s like Churchill said:

We shall talk on the beaches, we shall beg on the landing grounds, we shall hug in the fields and in the streets, we shall surrender in the hills; we shall never fight.

Or something like that. I went to US public schools. 🙃
