I have worked in a field where I routinely needed to restrain people larger than myself without hurting them. These people were unwell, sometimes violent, and often paranoid and aggressive. I never once fucking bodyslammed an adult patient or punched them.
I had to restrain teenagers, many who looked a lot like this girl (who may not have been 100% compliant, but was definitely not “resisting” as I have been resisted by teenage patients). I never once fucking bodyslammed a small teenage girl or punched her. Nor did I fucking bodyslam and punch a 200+lb highschool football player with paranoid delusions and a penchant for punching nurses.
Why not? Because there is absolutely zero need to do that, it’s fucked up and mean, it could seriously hurt them, and it’s illegal besides. When I was doing this type of work, I was much smaller than the pig in the video, and again restraining teenagers up to 300+lb adults. The lack of a need to do something forceful, and doing the forceful thing anyway despite not needing to is the definition of excessive force. Bodyslamming an unarmed, small, possibly inebriated teenage girl as a 200+lb man is excessive and fucked up.
If you think this is OK, you need to take a step back and ask yourself why you think that.
