I think a lot of Fascists actually understand science better than the average Lib. They know scientific understanding is only as good as the data you put in, bad data in, bad theories out. But they also know that libs practically worship science as a capital T Truthful thing, that if The Science says something, then it must be true.
So they do things like this. They know they’re full of shit, but they don’t care, if they can influence public perception enough (while also defunding scientific programs enough) then “The Science” will just be treated as vague “common sense” which is easy to manipulate.
And it works on Liberals, really well. I’m sure all of us here have heard at least one Liberal share this opinion that non-white people are inherently less intelligent than whites, just with a condescending attitude instead of a hostile one.
