If you’re going to pan fry a sausage, they’ll come out way better if you tear them apart into chunks by hand, so there’s rough bits for the oil to stick to and brown.
This goes triply for vegan sausage btw. The seitan longs for uneven frying.
Better cooked in a pan than boiled or left on rollers to turn into wizard fingers at 7-11

Ever stick a wooden skewer through the middle and cut a spiral around it? More nooks and crannies to get stuff to stick to it.
