I do think at least the media landscape would be in a better place had he not died when he did. I think Jim Henson Studios would have gotten more sfx work with him alive with the clout he had. Like, I think Yoda would have still been cgi, but I have my doubts for Gollum and that was kinda the tipping point. I don’t think he would have gone too far with digital cause he really liked puppets and was fucking amazing with them. Imo if anyone earnes their fame and fortune as a media guy it was him. Plus he died like a week after I found out that a guy invented the Muppets and who his name was cause I was hella young.
