Her admitted opium addiction is not something we should mock. Addiction is a serious issue.

I was implying alcoholism, and we can talk about how addictions effect judgment and behavior. That’s one of the defining things about drug/alcohol addictions.

You can’t get cured of a disease by going to therapy. Addiction is primarily psychological and emotional.
