Visually and texturally they turned out as i envisioned (GOOD) but the smoke combined with the sweetness and peanut flavor makes them taste kinda like a BBQ PB&J sandwich bite. Not bad but I wish instead of rice and fried corn and edamame i did like, collard greens and mashed potatoes or something. All in all A+ will smoke tofu again
P.s. the crushed peanuts are VITAL for cronch

Buddy, I have tonnes of tofu recipes. If you want you can tell me what you’re after and I can send one your way
Im good that would defeat the point of what i’m doing. Also this turned out good
Yeah this looked really good.
my partner really liked it, I ended up crumbling mine up with some crushed peanuts on top and it was even better. I cut them in a weird big dice because I was going to smoke them and didn’t want to be dealing with a lot of small bits and didn’t want big tofu steaks
the only thing about this was I didn’t expect the sugar/peanut to give it such a “wow I’m eating a pb&j sandwich” taste, it was good but I had like rice and stir fried corn/edamame/veg with it. I should have used way less peanut butter and also remembered to go outside and get the hot thai peppers I’ve been growing and chop a bunch of them into the marinade. basil too but maybe that’s for the best because all my basil is bolting and bitter af
Thanks though
