love the unreadable dark text on dark background, five stars
The text isn’t good in any of them, I hadn’t(still haven’t) figured out how to make it look good. For whatever reason I’ve found adding outlines to text to be very difficult in Gimp.
You need more contrast. The red/green is too dark relative to the transparent black background (which is incidentally a bit too light due to the transparency, worsening the issue). If the text was white, it would be legible, and if the background was solid black it would probably be legible.
in this case it works well for the trash meme aesthetic.
i haven’t used gimp in years but there should be an easy way to add outlines to text. light color text with a black outline is usually legible on most backgrounds
