It’s brilliantly shot, and the way they portray the dynamic of a gaslight and downtrodden wife versus the bumbling manchild husband that you see in shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons is a brilliant critique of the dominant male and the societal currents that support it.
Hell, the way that the husband absorbs the contradictions arising from their relationship into reinforcing this dynamic is very reflective of how neoliberalism absorbs and co-opts its contradictions and used fascism to close ranks when under threat.

Maybe I was slow to pick up on some subtle differences, but it seemed like so much of an old sitcom for so much of the first episode that I was thinking of turning it off and deleting the rest of the episodes I torrented. Then I remembered that a hexbear recommended it and kept watching. Now on the second episode, very likely to binge all of them before setting foot in the oven that is the outside.
