No such thing as an accident with a gun. What we have here is a negligent discharge.
Everyone knows the first rule of gun safety is ‘Just have fun’
“counting or not counting gang violence?”
I mean… cops are technically just state funded gangs 🤷
I really wish the titles were more accurate, it should read “Officer shoots coworker while negligently handling service weapon”
The copaganda is strong enough that this is unquestioningly portrayed as an “accident”.
But, when someone aims a weapon (or vaguely similar object) at a cop, the cop almost always starts shooting. Dude might’ve feel disrespected or intimidated or whatever. Maybe not just joking around.
That’s not what “accidental” means though. If you’re fucking around with guns, you expected this. You were taught about this exact thing in gun safety class FFS.
Seriously, the first guy was clearly joking around because he didn’t actually pull the trigger but the guy who actually fired the shot had to go through serious conscious decision to release the safety and pull the trigger, what was he thinking?? They’re both idiots and glad at least the guy who fired the shot was expelled from his job.
You think cops keep the safety on? Trigger control is for pussies
I get your sentiment, but my autism is kicking in so I’m sorry for the pedantic nature of this comment.
Most cops carry Glocks, which notoriously don’t have a safety.
To continue the pedantry: Technically the trigger has a safety in it so it won’t travel without ‘intent’ to fire, but Glocks do not have external manual safeties.
True, not even technically true! I forgot the trigger dohicky.
