Isn’t there a meme out there about samurai, coca cola, the Mexican revolution, and something else all existing at the same time? The first Dracula novel maybe? I tried finding it and couldn’t. But this made me think of that.
They could have briefly sent a fax to a Samurai, in theory. Technically not one in Japan since no cables, but a Japanese embassy in the UK (as in a group of people rather than a building) could have sent a commercial fax.
