Similar issues present themselves at my bullshit job every day, but this example from a friend highlights this perfectly imo. Friend Works as a second grade teacher and was recounting an instance where kid a tells person b to go back to Mexico. Kid b dumps milk on kid a. Guess who got in more trouble (it wasn’t kid a).
It’s best for mental health to stop putting some much mental energy into shit like this because I have no control, but it just boggles my brain how kid a likely hears reactionary bullshit from his parents, repeats it without a second thought without realizing the damage it does while kid b has lived the damage and very believably views this as the threat it is. Funny how the parents don’t get a call though because reasons. It’s not like there is any possible world where they could bear any responsibility

Understanding the reason why kid B did this and why it’s justified requires dialectical materialism. The vast majority of people don’t think in connected systems and do not know or understand history. Therefore, since kid A was “just saying something” and not “doing anything”, they are a “victim”. Words don’t mean anything, history doesn’t exist, and everyone is an individual that acts solely because of their own internal desires. “Mateeriul condishuns?? Never heard of 'em.”
😅 I very jokingly said to my friend that in a just society, the parents would be put in re-education and formally apologize for their behavior affecting their children and the collective as a whole

It really is a whole society built around encouraging bullies and toxic people to just be their worst selves while teaching victims to never stand up for themselves.
“I don’t care what so-and-so did, I saw you.” Many teachers just go by this and don’t look past the surface. As a result, it becomes very easy for a bully to make it look like their victim is being violent, by making sure the authority figure only sees the reaction or the outcome.
Reversing the apparent roles is the bully’s favorite trick. Tale as old as time.
