Over the past few days, @MrKaplan@lemmy.world/@MrKaplan@piefed.world has banned multiple users, blocked entire comms, and now defederated from Anarchist.Nexus over their anti-Zionist stance.
This extreme overreaction and general power trippin’ bastard behavior stems from Lemmy.world’s history of pro-Zionist views. And now MrKaplan is seeking out the flimsiest pretext to to enact his own personal vendetta.

Ultimately the dumbest part is jumping right into defed without even trying to contact the primary admin at all. The assumption that admins regularly visit each other’s profiles regularly seems… Odd.
Amongst the various admins there is usually at least a spattering of courtesy. Apparently that flew out the window as soon as someone needed hemorrhoid ointment.
It makes perfect sense considering how often they just wait for users they don’t like to make a tiny mistake then ban them completely.

The zionist accusation was explicitly in reason for the ban he received. Not something he inferred just from seeing the username.
I banned MrKaplan preemptively from !anarchymemes@anarchist.nexus, as I do anyone who displays zionist tendencies. the ban reason was for “zionism, genocide apologia”.
