He has moved further right over the last 20 years and is the perfect example of liberals being unscratched fascists and Republicans that can pay lip service to liking gay people and weed. He got a lot of liberal cred in the 00’s for mocking Christian Evangelicals and saying Sarah Palin is illiterate.
I don’t remember, but that sounds right. A lot of the liberals were also for the Iraq war, it is just that Democrats and liberals were a bit quicker to say that it was a bad idea in like 2007/2008 than republicans and even that kind of reversed after Obama came in and was in charge of the war. It is similar to the Democrats these days with the Iran war. They are totally for the war and the need to remove the “oppressive regime” from power, but oppose Trump and the Republicans because they didn’t do the necessary paperwork. The war with Iran is correct and should continue, but Donald needs to stop for a second to fill the paperwork out.
