    Prejudiced

Underrated word, covers basically every kind of bias, and people aren’t as inured to it as they have for words like racist or transphobic. There’s a reason this was the word used in education and civil rights movements post ww2.

Not a word but I recently learned that the fallopian tubes are NOT connected to the ovaries. It’s not a closed system. The tubes kind of float around near the ovaries and when an egg is released they gotta like, suck that little thing up into the tube with their little finger things. That’s how you get abdominal pregnancies and shit. The sperm goes up through the tubes and just kind of swims around inside the body to find the egg and that sucker attaches to something like the intestines. So when you blow a load in there raw your swimmers are going ham inside a woman’s body. Like all up in her guts.

Today I learned the word “velocitize” from musical criticism quote on the Wikipedia page of a guy named Lester Bangs.

His 1970 review of Black Sabbath’s first album in Rolling Stone was scathing, rating them as imitators of the band Cream:

Cream clichés that sound like the musicians learned them out of a book, grinding on and on with dogged persistence. Vocals are sparse, most of the album being filled with plodding bass lines over which the lead guitar dribbles wooden Claptonisms from the master’s tiredest Cream days. They even have discordant jams with bass and guitar reeling like velocitized speedfreaks all over each other’s musical perimeters yet never quite finding synch—just like Cream! But worse.

    Off the net…

To become or cause to become accustomed to traveling at a high speed so that when entering a zone in which the speed limit is reduced, especially a highway exit ramp, the driver tends to drive too fast.

to cause (an automobile driver) to misjudge or become unaware of true speed or to become drowsy as a result of prolonged traveling at a high speed (as on an open highway)

Contiguous, I used it in the correct sense (contiguous, joined land mass) and someone was like ‘Don’t you mean continuous?’ and I was like no.
