As-phrased, this is a fraught question because old people have a pretty high death rate no matter the circumstances, but if you mean as a result of quarantine, the answer is a much lower number than would have died if China took the attitude seen in the west of only momentarily caring about the virus (to say nothing of immuno-compromised and otherwise at-risk people, etc.)
Also, what are they even trying to say about abortions? That they should be less available in China? That there’s a lack of contraception? If only China had some sort of program promoting IUDs to underprivileged women that could result in mass adoption . . .

What they mean is: they believe that “Evil China” was bolting people’s doors shut during COVID because they hate freedom so much they just wanted everyone to die of starvation. It comes from a single example of a landlord who installed an iron bar on a tenant’s door preventing them from opening it, who was then arrested for you know, imprisoning someone. The western media took this one example and tried to claim it was government mandated and happening all across China, but “secretly” as is always the case with these things.
It’s exhausting trying to combat this stuff, because they just make up so much, and you need to know so much, only to not use any of it when talking to a lib because they don’t give a shit about facts or reality, they just want an excuse to be racist.
