Warning: hella porn ads if you don’t have an ad block.

These Absolute Universe comics are so fucking peak. Love what they do with color in this one.

i like the chromatic-aberration-like use of red white and blue, those colors don’t usually look so viscerally gross together

The use of color and shape in this series is pretty astounding

I haven’t started reading Chainsaw Man so I only have the anime to go off of but I think the author has read Chainsaw Man and I love it

Yeah, this sequence is extremely chainsaw man and not just because there’s a gun that killed a hundred million people.

i have a 90s wonder woman with Martian Manhunter in it where he (they?) transitions to femme to infiltrate some lost amazon society

needless to say it was one of many early things to hammer on my eggshell

No idea what is going on here, but that art style is really cool. I love that these comics seem to be experimenting more with unique art styles rather than just trying to go for that bland semi-realistic look.

Best way to put it is that metaphors are real and reality is metaphorical

The bad guy in martian manhunter is bad vibes, and that’s not a metaphor.

I’ve been loving Batman and WW, but Martian Manhunter has really captured something unique and cool

Slight spoiler for a moment that might also make you want to read it:

      spoiler

There is a moment where the bad guy summons a nuclear bomb from the imagination of a cold war era conspiracy guy, but the martian manhunter notes that while he is afraid of nuclear armageddon he also believes in military incompetence so the bomb doesn’t go off.
