The second one has been driving me mad lately. I cannot believe how literal nazi propaganda has become the mainstream historical narrative in the West. And they make sure to shove the double genocide bullshit in anywhere they possibly can even if it’s completely irrelevant. I’m currently reading Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, and the version I have has an introduction, which I made the mistake of reading. Within the first page there’s some bullshit about how this novella about European colonialism in Africa “forshadowed the totalitarian evils of Auschwitz and the Soviet Gulag”, then waxed poetic about some garbage by Solzhenitsyn. Anything to distract from the actual horrors of European colonialism I guess.

Watching all the WW2 documentaries made by anglos, there is always one common thing they have: underlying but visible regret that nazis lost the war.
