There’s a simple answer. “Sure they killed someone in cold blood, but they won’t kill me”, so they oppose escalation. The situation in the US is deteriorating, but the subjective and objective reasons for revolution and what that implies to be appealing aren’t present… yet.
Right. As long as people can stay home and be “safe” with their treats why would they stick their necks out? We’re a deeply individual society so there’s no sense of community or solidarity with those other people.
They also likely can’t imagine actually killing any targets that remove some of the danger against themselves, but always imagine violence as like random killings and destruction because that’s how American media always depicts anti-government/worker resistance to things, especially during protests.
The idea that you could remove an ICE agent and be safer as a result, i.e. what happened to Good, doesn’t cross their mind.
