I agree with all of that, I just have never smoked and still know I’d have to be high to put up with him talking. I’ve seen him interview before and it’s impossible to watch.
During the height of covid (oh boy sure glad it’s over, right folks?) a bunch of hollywood anti-vaxxers- most prominently Chris Pratt- realized that voice acting had reduced demands for covid protections because it’s easier to isolate when people are in sound booths, and pivoted their careers towards it over normal acting. Now every time I see a prominent celebrity getting a stupid huge paycheque for half assing their way through a voice performance I assume they’re anti-vaxxers

I hate actual voice actors being replaced with [insert marketable celebrity here]. Instead of someone who specializes in altering their voice to fit different characters you just get Jack Black or Chris Pratt phoning it in because their name is more recognizable on the poster.
This is completely off topic but that was one of the issues I had with Cyberpunk 2077, too much of the game seemed to revolve around Keanu Reeves rather than the story, environment, setting etc
Feels like they forgot to write an actual protagonist in Cyberpunk - they got Keanu onboard and blew up his role 10x, which ate away at the main character’s…character
Exactly, it felt like Keanu’s story and the player character was just along for the ride
Disclaimer: I never finished the game but the parts I did play sure felt like I was just playing someone else’s story
