Israel just carried out a widespread bombing of Iran, which has killed a number of senior officials inside Iran (though it seems the leadership is more-or-less intact) as well as a number of civilians. Important facilities have been targeted, but the amount of damage is unknown so far (note that many important Iranian facilities are deep underground, making them both hard to damage but also hard to determine if they are damaged from just satellite imagery, so reports of damage will be he-said-she-said).
It appears the attack took Iran by surprise, given that a residential block was targeted that contained some senior officials - if one saw an attack coming, one would imagine they’d be in bunkers. Nonetheless, like the rest of the Resistance Axis, I suspect that Iran has adapted their military structures to be resistant to decapitation strikes by ensuring that replacement figures are ready to take the place of killed officials.
Iran has delivered a massive missile barrage in response to Israeli aggression, even though Israel is continuing to bomb Iran. Iran is now aware of the location of many important Israeli sites, including secret nuclear sites, due to their recent intelligence haul, giving them a distinct edge.

He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.

People were calling us doomers and idiots because we were annoyed about the lack of movement by Iran after the attack on their embassy in Damascus. Then they did nothing useful on the lead up to the strikes against Hezbollah, they failed to protect Haniyeh in Tehran itself, they failed to inflict any long-term damage to Israel after Nasrallah’s martyrdom, then they failed protect Syria, then they sat on their asses wasting their time on fucking negotiations with The Great Satan instead of doing the preemptive strike themselves. The lethargic movement by the boomers in charge in Iran will fucking doom the country and doom us all. We lost our finest men in Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and Syria because we were all in the same trenches fighting the same enemy, and we all warned that Iran’s time would come after they finish us, and guess what, the day has fucking come and they’re still paralysed. I hate this dumbass life.
We are in it for the long haul. If you fall into despair the only thing you are doing is reducing the hands that do the fighting before even starting.
Iran definitely goofed by not getting nukes. I think that doomed the resistance from the start. What I dont understand though is why people expect so much from Iran. Like Saudi, Egypt, this new Syrian regime, Jordan (Turkey? Azerbaijan ?) have all sold out like pathetic dogs serving their masters. Nobody talks about this.

Yeah but I don’t think that’s fair. Like the Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin. They work hand in hand. Iran is still in direct opposition to the sellouts and the imperialists. Just not enough but they are. I still think they are extremely stupid for not getting a nuclear weapon if they had the ability to do so.
