Looks like it’s time for my weekly “How does this fucker with the charisma of a foraminiferan keep getting away with whatever he wants, and why is what he wants so stupid?”

The people who suck up to him either have no choice(his employees) or are irrelevant social media warriors.

His power only realy comes from his wealth and then his grip on SpaceX imo. Tesla was always realy a techbro thing, real power is when he managed to get his foot on those Pentagon doors so he gets US MIC contracts. People who would oppose or hate him look the other way when the interests align.

I remember one narrative earlier in the Ukraine war how he was very anti-Ukrainian because he was taking away their Starlink internet and yet he was getting US MIC contracts at the same time and in the end the US government just pays him for it. Just bonkers. I even thought if he messed up the Ukraine war for the US like that they would Epstein him but nah, better to give him money so he shuts up like a toddler and look the other way etc. They clearly believe he is not a real threat.

And his rockets keep exploding! Unless he has some sort of Epstein-style scheme going on, I don’t see how whoever awarded those contracts looks at him and goes “Yep, this is a guy we should trust with critical military infrastructure.” Although the old saying “military intelligence is an oxymoron” undoubtedly applies.
