Both videos focus on street interviews inside of Venezuela. CBS chose to only air interviews with Venezuelan people who spoke out against Maduro and the Venezuela government. The one guy that they interview who is in favor of Maduro, CBS accuses him of being a government plant.

The first video mocks Venezuela for teaching their civilians how to defend themselves against US attacks, “it’s all a bit of theater”. CBS downplays the US attacks on Venezuela civilian ships. CBS interviews a former US Diplomat to Venezuela, James Story. He blatantly tells that audience that “(Maduro) is a very bad actor, sitting on the world’s largest known reserves of oil, plus critical minerals that will fuel the 21st century economy”. CBS reaffirms Trump’s lies that Maduro is a drug dealer and that Maduro wanted to do a secret deal with Trump. CBS blames Maduro for accepting US deportees, that Trump’s CBP deported. Senator Rick Scott says that the US will bring “freedom and democracy” ™ to the southern hemisphere and Cuba. CBS says that Venezuela’s economy is failing due to “its socialist policies”. CBS praises the Venezuela opposition leader who was given the Peace Price. Almost every person in the entire video called for Maduro to be removed from power.

The second video has an interview with Republican Senator Rick Scott, he says that US is targeting Venezuela because of narcotics. The second video accuses Venezuela of having a struggling economy without high inflation, without ever mentioning that sanctions that the US has placed on Venezuela. At the end of the second video, CBS calls for Maduro to be arrested or killed, “meet his maker”.
