A week or so ago someone was trying to pedantically do it with baseball as a “pasttime” and not a hobby or whatever.

That comment/thread is about porn, sex, and more generally atomisation of society. Nothing in there is implying you are counterrevolutionary for enjoying solitary activities.
Also, without downvotes +17 is literally seventeen people, so extrapolating that to represent the majority of a site with 837 users logging on the past day is a bit much, especially given that upvotes from federated instances outside those 837 per day are counted as well. Not to be competitive but I’ve seen much stupider takes over +40.

i swear to god, i feel like this is a massive problem in leftist spaces in general. they seem to be mostly populated by sociable extroverts who operate on the subconscious belief that introverts or people who are not particularly socila (not just neurodivergent people) are wrong somehow, and so these spaces feel pretty hostile. i hope i’m wrong, but time and time again i keep seeing evidence of that
