Should I repost in c/news stuff in c/doomer or nah?

    We need to know what’s happening because shit is getting more and more fucked up and dangerous, but at the same time is it going to fuck with people’s mental health and morale?

    Maybe try to balance it and post some good leftist news for every two doomer need posts?

    We’ve seen some amazing shit coming from China, and the global south and a bunch of former US allies are turning away from the US, and while the US is floundering it seems that gives the global south an opportunity to strengthen.

    I think that might be the way to do it. Post the hard depressing truth, but remember that the truth is that the world is bigger than the US and some places are doing well from its ashes. So for ever hard depressing truth, post a hard bloomer truth to go with it.

    Post news with the intent to both inform and motivate. “Here are the terrible things we must stop. Here is what we need to prepare against, here is how leftists around the world have achieved things”

      I changed my ways before due to c/news related feedback. I decided if the news article was a sort of an “update” - I wouldn’t put it in news. In other words - I realized I don’t need to post over and over again about the measles case numbers. Today it’s 200. Now it’s 300. And now it’s 400. Oh, look - it’s 500. And…

      But it seems to me Trump admin / RFK Jr. stuff is news if it’s - for lack of a better word - new. The CDC studying if vitamins work on measles is doomy and depressing as hell but it’s news - I think.

    I don’t really care which comm it gets posted to or if there are two threads, I just participate in whichever is bigger tbh. Unless c/news has a problem with threads being too doomer/negative/whatever it doesn’t bother me to not have a crosspost here. Especially for RFK type threads- I don’t feel like I have anything particularly doomer I want to say about them, like I do the climate threads for example. But it really doesn’t matter much to me which way you go with it.

    I don’t find the amount of news too much (in like a, you aren’t posting too much way). If stuff is happening I want to know.
